EducationI received my BS in Biology December of 2012 and completed my degree in 3.5 years from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I also graduated on the Dean's List (but don't worry I still have a personality! :) ) I am currently a practicing Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) at the University of Wisconsin, which is analogous to a CRNA or a Physician Assistant specialized in Anesthesia.
ExperiencePROFESSIONAL TUTOR. I have worked for a local tutoring center in the past year with K-12 students but specialized in high school math and science subjects. I left the center to work full time for the University of Wisconsin Medical School, however I still love to tutor privately on the side. I have experience in mentoring middle school children, tutoring high school students, tutoring peers at UW and surrounding colleges and completed the GRE and MCAT scoring well. Never received less than an A in any English class at any level and can also help with writing skills for ACT, GRE, AP, and school papers.
I truly feel that every student and every parent have most of the control in the grades that they receive in class. Although you may get a teacher that does not teach in the manner that you learn best in by looking on this site you are taking the first step to regain your control over the situation. By coming to me for help I find that the student gains a sense of responsibility for their performance. They come prepared to work and have a willingness to understand which I meet with my passion for teaching in a style that meets their learning pattern.
Overall I would say that I am highly intelligent but not a genius (I can explain what I mean by this). I think this is important because I can relate with the individuals that I tutor and not teach over their heads. Imagine Albert Einstein teaching elementary math, now that wouldn't be fun for the student! I feel that my educational and professional background have provided me with the optimal skill set to look at a problem and find the elements of the problem that could be confusing for students and help them solve the issue in possibly different ways than learned in the classroom. By doing so I have seen my students leave the session with new confidence and a fresh outlook on the subject knowing that they can handle the problems if they look at them in another way.
Please let me know if you or your child needs to regain your/their confidence in controlling your/their educational future and I would be more than willing to help.
HobbiesPassionate about helping others and improving confidence levels in all subjects.

Maggie is the best! Have had great communication and she is highly responsive to our son's needs. Look forward to working with her during the school year.
Maggie is very professional, has great communication skills, and is a great tutor. I highly recommend Maggie.
Maggie is a great tutor! She has been tutoring with me for about a month now, and my grades have gone up dramatically. I am finally able to finish my tests in the given time, and I feel like I understand the material so much better.
